Review: Mallory and Will

It never fails to make me tear when I read feedback from my clients, and this is no exception.

How did wedding planner make your day special? Danielle is beyond amazing. Not only did she make my friends and family feel better prepared for the day, but kept open communication between all vendors during the entire planning process. She has been there to assist my mother and I with any questions or concerns since day one and is always quick to respond to emails or phone calls- always within the same day! The value of Danielle’s services are well worth the cost- and affordable! She was always able to answer any questions I had and helped guide me through numerous wedding dilemmas. She was well organized and a wealth of information. Not to mention that she is one of the sweetest people I know! She is extremely kind and a true, genuine person. I’d highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding!

Value of a wedding planner? Danielle in particular added a comfort to our day knowing she was in control of things. She was top of everything and always knew what was going on. We were able to be completely stress free on our day and just enjoy the wonderful moments that were created. We had the best day of our lives and every person kept saying how relaxed and in love we looked!

To Mallory and Will:  I can not thank you enough.  It was a pleasure working with you on your wedding and it was the best feeling in the world to see your smiles on the day of the wedding.  Mallory, I have to admit you are first bride I’ve ever hung out with the day of their wedding before the ceremony and it was a blast.  I might need to make a habit of that.

Having couples like yourself are the reason why I love my profession so much.  Thank you for the opportunity to work with you and I’m looking forward to what I feel will be a lasting friendship.

Cheers!

Real Wedding: Kind words from {Kat + Tom}

10.12.2010 / Real Weddings / no comments

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of working with an old friend and her fiance on their 10.10.10 wedding.  The Bethlehem wedding was not only a blast, but positively stunning and I can’t wait to share the pictures with you.  Douglas Benedict of Douglas Benedict Photography was their photographer and he also did their engagement shoot (left).

Anyway, Kat gave me such a sweet review today on WeddingWire and I had to share it with you here:

Danielle was awesome! We had a lot of people traveling from out of town, a lot of last minute changes to ceremony, and multiple locations during the day and Danielle conquered it all. Her best qualities are her judgement, stellar taste, responsiveness, and great personality. Danielle handled the night with grace and ease.

Thank you so much!

Cheers,

Real Wedding: Kind words from Katie + Joe

08.27.2010 / Real Weddings / 2 comments

Happy Friday everyone!  I came home from our “bowling night” last night to find an amazingly sweet review from this past weekend’s couple.  It’s so kind and of course, I had to share with you.  Hearing (err… reading?) things like this make me so proud of my hard work.

“Danielle was great! She truly took all the stress off me on my wedding day and I got to enjoy my day. Before the wedding, she always answered all my phone calls and emails and helped IMMENSELY in the planning! She was a godsend the day of the wedding and took care of every detail! She made sure everything ran on schedule and helped with decorations, timelines, and about a million other things…. too many things to list! Honestly, I can’t imagine my wedding day without her there helping out. I think it would of turned out to be a disaster without her help!! I can’t thank her enough for everything she has done!!!”

It was definitely a “sweet” treat to be a part of your wedding, Katie + Joe!  Looking at your prom pictures, and then seeing you getting married – it was a special moment and one that I was really honored to be a part of.  So glad I can help and I’m looking forward to staying in touch!

Side note: In this photo, you see me fixing the bustle on Katie’s beautiful dress that had broken about 10 minutes into the celebration.  My question to wedding gown designers/seamstresses: Why do you create such inefficient bustles?  How do you expect a tiny piece of thread and a beautiful, but wimpy, pearl button to hold up 40 lbs. of dress?  I’m just curious.  I’m thinking about inventing something that fixes this problem for all brides.  I’ll keep you posted.  In the meantime, any ideas?

As a wedding planner, I may think I’m awesome, but if my clients don’t agree, where am I going?  So, when I receive such kind words from my newlyweds, I feel that I just have to share it with you.

    From Gina+Kevin, married July 31, 2010:

How did wedding planner make your day special? She attended to my every need! My whole vision was executed just the way I wanted it and it could have never been done without her!

Useful suggestions, tips, wisdom your planner offered? She always gave me helpful planning advice anytime i needed it. She was sooo quick to respond to any emails/ quesions I had.

How the planner reduced your inner-Bridezilla? If it wasnt for Danielle, bridezilla would have been unleashed! There was no way for me to be in ten places at once, but somehow she managed to be for me!

Value of a wedding planner? I never really thought a wedding planner was needed. I couldnt be more wrong! I never realized until now all that happens on a wedding day. If there wasnt that one person taking control of the show all chaos would have broken out. there is no way for a bride to enjoy her wedding day when she has to worry about every other little detail. a wedding planner alleviates that stress so you can truly enjoy the day!

Chicago, IL – [July 12, 2010] OneWed.com, the wedding planning website with the largest online directory of local wedding vendors and the only  wedding planning social network, WeddingPreParty.com, is pleased to announce the Reviewed on OneWed 2010 program!

Today, brides and grooms seek advice from their peers and place a high priority on recommendations from those who have wed before them.  The Reviewed on OneWed program was created specifically to help couples find the most exceptional wedding professionals for their wedding day among the 225,000 on OneWed.

“In today’s world of user-generated content, brides seek out ratings and reviews of those wedding professionals they are considering using,” says Jennifer Napier, Marketing VP of OneWed.  “Seeing what other brides thought gives them confidence in the decisions they ultimately make when selecting wedding professionals. We are thrilled to recognize those wedding professionals who have earned the trust of brides and grooms.”

Understanding that a one-size-fits-all review system does not provide the depth of responses desired by brides and grooms, OneWed reviews are tailored to each of 23 specific vendor categories, from florists to caterers to reception venues. As such, engaged couples flock to OneWed for detailed ratings, valuable answers to their most crucial questions, and robust descriptions of past clients’ experiences.

OneWed reviews also serve as a marketing differentiator among wedding professionals within the OneWed Vendor Network. “Business listings with reviews are viewed 35 times more often than those without reviews-showing the power of reviews and a tailored rating system in the wedding industry” remarked Napier.
