Technology is a great thing, right? Well, I think it is as long as we use it for good instead of evil. That being said, two big problems I’ve been facing were dealing with agreements and payments/invoicing.

First, I discovered SignNow.com. Ok, I didn’t discover it, but I did stumble upon it and haven’t looked back since. Essentially, any one can use it, no registering or signing up for anything. You open the document, click where you want to add text, click where you want to sign (which is addictively fun, too) and you’re done. I get an email when it’s been signed, I do the same and we both have a completed copy within 10 minutes.

Then, I fell in love with Freshbooks. I’ll admit the love came from an anger towards a program I was using previously that I won’t name (but will say that it rhymes with Prickbooks). Freshbooks is quick, easy to use, allows my clients to access their invoices anytime, and even make a payment online (using PayPal). One of my favorite features is their stellar customer service. You call them, a person answers, and then… get this… they help you. Say what?? And I knew I made the right choice switching to them when my friend, Lorenzo Araneo of Screaming Lunatic told me about his love for them too in his Rockstar Podcast.

Now, if only I can stop killing the plants in my windowsill – I’ll be even greener. :)
