Dear Client: You are NEVER bothering us (An open letter to our current and future clients)

Earlier this week, we were checking in with one of our couple’s getting married in just three short months (October!!). They’ve been uncharacteristically quiet the past few months and we understand that sometimes life takes over and wedding tasks tend to hit the back burner (especially around the 5-6 month mark where a lot of the big decisions are made and it’s too early to start talking about the minute details).

Anyway, when we checked in to make sure things were still going well and on track, we received the sweetest response, but they also said:

“I try not to bother you too much now because I figured you had a bunch of more pressing weddings before ours.”

WHAT!?!?!?!

First of all, we have to say that we are not knocking this couple – AT ALL. They were trying to be helpful and courteous and there is nothing wrong with either of those traits.

BUT…

Dear client,

No matter when your wedding is…

No matter how far away or close it is…

No matter how many weddings we have between now and yours…

No matter how many times you email or message us…

No matter how many questions you have…

You are NEVER bothering us.

We love hearing from our couples. We love helping with whatever situation you are going through and we love knowing that you’ve got a hard-working crew on your team.

Granted, there are definitely some times where it will take longer to get a response from us (for example, a Saturday in June). Instead of hearing back from us within a few hours, you may have to wait a day or two while we work our bums off at that weekend’s wedding and gear up for the next week. But if anything is pressing, we always get back as soon as humanly possible.

But, please, please, please know that your emails and messages are always more than welcome. No matter how far away your wedding is. Because YOU are our client. We love and adore you. If we didn’t love you, we wouldn’t be working together. We’re picky like that.

So, please keep the emails and messages coming. It may the “busy” wedding season but we always dedicate time for each and every one of our clients. No questions asked and no evil joo-joo for sending something.
