Hallie and Andrew’s Summertime Jewish Wedding at the Free Library on the Parkway in Philadelphia

Hallie and Andrew came to me as a referral from a past Philly couple, Jen and Tyler (you may remember them and their stunning La Peg wedding last Summer). I’m always incredibly grateful and honored to receive referrals from past clients. And I consider myself quite lucky to have the opportunity to work with such sweet and genuinely lovely people time after time.

Hallie and Andrew’s wedding took place at the Free Library on the Parkway in Philadelphia, PA. It was one of the hotter weekends in July, but not too humid, which helped keep everyone comfortable.

The couple’s photographers, Alison and Bridget from Alison Dunn Photography, did such a great job capturing the story and vibes of the day.

To kick things off, the couple opted to get ready at The Logan Hotel, right across from Logan Square and nicely walkable to the Library.

Logan is one of my FAVORITE hotels in the city and the balcony in Hallie’s room was [chefs kiss] for photos.

Jazmin Rae and Co. provided hair and makeup for Hallie and her wedding party. And A Cottage Gardener provided the most dreamy florals.

Hallie and Andrew did their First Look right by the fountain in Logan Square. I love how this spot is nestled right in the city, but still has some greenery and garden vibes.

Gah, and can we talk about how adorable and sweet these two are?! These smiles rarely left their faces all night long.

After First Looks, it was off to the Library for more photos together and with their families. Just before the ceremony began, the Couple signed their Ketubah with the Rabbi and two witnesses. While they opted to only incorporate some elements of the Jewish religion into their day, this was one I was glad they kept.

Ceremonies at the Free Library are just so breathtaking. But my favorite moment was when Hallie made her grand entrance, walking down the marble steps on her own and meeting her Mom and Dad at the bottom before walking down the aisle.

After a very elegant and tasty cocktail hour on the second floor landing of the Library, guests made their way to the rooftop for an evening of dinner, dancing, and taking in the gorgeous Philly skyline.

One of my FAVORITE moments of the day (perhaps just after Hallie’s grand entrance down the stairs) was seeing her two grandparents open the dance floor with a KILLER dance. It brought happy tears to everyone’s eyes and it filled my heart.

After the couple had their First Dance, Hallie’s grandparents offered a heartfelt Jewish blessing over the wine and challah bread. (Hallie is one of the lucky ones who still has all FOUR of her grandparents and they were all absolutely lovely.)

Dinner was catered by the fabulous Brûlée Catering, the exclusive caterer for the Library. After some toasts, it was time to cut the cake, do some Parent Dances, and let everyone bust out their best dance moves.

And the band, Brent and Co., did such a great job of keeping everyone on their feet and having a blast on the dance floor.

My dearest Hallie and Andrew, being along for your wedding planning adventures was an absolute pleasure. Thank you for including us in your day and Mazel Tov on an incredible celebration!
