We talk a lot on this blog about logistics. Mainly because we love logistics. But we thought the blog was missing some “pretty” lately and we came across these lovely wedding menus on Etsy and knew we had to share.
Wedding menus are a beautiful addition to any tablescape. They can coordinate with your invitations but really must coordinate with your other day-of stationery (place cards, programs, etc.) to create a cohesive feel for your guests. While they are definitely not a necessity, they add a nice touch to the start of your reception dinner.
One thing to remember*: If you are having menu cards, be sure to talk with your coordinator, venue and/or caterer about how you’d like them set out. They can be placed in your napkin, on your charger (if you’re having them) or you can put them in frames and do one or two per table. Either way, be sure that your first course (often a salad course) isn’t going to be pre-set. A pre-set first course means that that plate of food will be placed out before your guest arrives to the table either burying your beautiful menu or making it pointless.
*See? It always comes back to logistics. Our first love, indeed.
