A Gender Reveal Wedding Cake: It’s A….

On the final weekend of August in the summer of 2016, Ariel and Dray said their “I Do’s” and opened their hearts at their beautiful wedding at Friedman Farms in Dallas, PA.

Some of my favorite pros came together to make the day not only enjoyable but positively stunning.

(However, in all truths, the bride could’ve been the only thing in the room – even in sweatpants – and it would’ve still been stunning. She’s just gorgeous, folks.)

Epicurean Delight Catering was on-site to keep everyone nicely fed and pleasantly full. The team at Allium Design gave Ariel the “fairy garden” wedding she’s been dreaming of. Wes at Wesley Works kept everyone on the dance floor and tapping their toes. Of course, Nina Lily Photography was there to capture it all. But it was the work of Sugar Babe Cupcakes that I want to gush on in today’s post.

I met Angela at Sugar Babe Cupcakes through the #WeddingWhisperers campaign I did in 2015 with some fellow kick-butt ladies in the wedding industry for Lehigh Valley Style. Since then, I’ve been following along with her on Instagram and I was so happy to work with her on Ariel and Dray’s wedding.

While Angela could’ve just made any ole’ cake… this cake was special. During the couple’s engagement, they found out that 2016 was going to be a BIG year for them. Not just for the fact that they would be getting married. But they’d also be making a new addition to their family: a BABY!

So, Sugar Babe baked a beautiful gender-reveal wedding cake for the couple to cut.

By nature, guests tend to enjoy watching a couple cut their cake, but I’ve never seen so many anxious and smiling faces as they watched Ariel and Dray cut into their cake that day. Everyone was on the edge of their seat to find out: Baby Boy or Baby Girl!

Well, do you want to know what they’ll be having…?

It’s a girl!!

Wishing Ariel and Dray a BIG congratulations and I can’t thank them enough for including the DPNAK team in their wedding day journey.

Cheers!
