Philadelphia Cricket Club Wedding | Eliza and Thomas
Eliza and Thomas celebrated their love with a beautiful wedding at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania. Working closely with Eliza’s family, we spent about two years planning this stunning event. Despite living in London, the couple envisioned a day that was elegant, intentional, and brimming with celebration for their favorite people. Even with a bit of rain, their dream day came to life spectacularly.
James Anderson Photography masterfully captured the essence of the day, while Robertson’s Flowers brought a touch of sunshine with their bright pastel palette. The florals perfectly complemented the custom stationery by Herron Like the Bird, creating a cohesive and vibrant spring vibe.
To start the day, Thomas and his friends prepared for the celebration at the charming Chestnut Hill Hotel. Its proximity to the venue made it an ideal choice for the groom and his party.
Meanwhile, Eliza and her group of VIPs spent a delightful morning getting ready at her parents’ house in Chestnut Hill. Watching all the details come together was a joyous experience.
The couple’s First Look took place on the cozy front porch off the courtyard. The rain turned this covered spot into a perfect, intimate setting for the couple to snuggle up and share their excitement for the day ahead.
After capturing some cherished family photos at the house, it was time to head to the Philadelphia Cricket Club. Although the rain was intermittent, the decision was made to move the ceremony indoors. While an outdoor ceremony on the golf course would have been picturesque, the ballroom provided a safe, dry, and comfortable environment for the guests. Thanks to Robertson’s Flowers, the indoor space was transformed into a magical setting.
After the vows, the rain paused just long enough for guests to enjoy an extended Cocktail Hour off the ballroom. It was heartwarming to see several past, present, and future clients of ours among the guests, making the occasion even more special.
I was thrilled that the rain held off in the evening, allowing the couple to sneak outside for some stunning photos on the grounds between reception formalities. (Even if we did need to majorly clean their shoes when they came back in!)
After dinner, the evening continued with an adorable Father/Daughter dance, a cake cutting, and a heartfelt “thank you” speech from the couple. Guests then danced the night away, thanks to the fantastic Bachelor Boys Band.
Eliza and Thomas, you are both absolute gems and a beautiful couple, inside and out. Your love and dedication to each other were evident in every detail of your special day. Congratulations on a wedding that was not only stunning and elegant but also deeply intentional and personal.
We cannot express enough how wonderful it was to work with Danielle! Through the whole process she was so organized, thoughtful and responsive. What stood out the most was how genuinely Danielle listened to our vision and needs. She made us feel heard and understood, and she did everything she could do make our vision come to life.
On the day of the wedding, everything was seamless and stress-free. Thanks to Danielle and her team’s careful coordination, we were able to fully enjoy the day without any worries! We were so surprisingly zen - because we know Danielle had it handled!
