Phoenixville Foundry Wedding | Christy and Jason
Alright folks, grab your umbrellas and buckle up because we're diving into Christy and Jason's wedding saga, rain and all, at the one and only Phoenixville Foundry.
Picture this: 182 guests, a killer vendor crew which included Hoffer Photography and DJ Michael Kane from Silver Sound, and one couple so head-over-heels in love, you could feel it in the air.
Now, rewind a bit. How did we get here? Well, turns out, I helped Christy's sister tie the knot back in June 2016, and lightning struck twice. Literally. Fast forward to March 2024, and we're all set to witness round two of familial bliss, albeit with a little sprinkle of rain for dramatic effect.
St. Basil the Great Parish provided the backdrop for Christy and Jason's "I do's," and trust me, it was as modern and stunning as they come.
With Hoffer Photography capturing every candid moment, Christy and Jason's love story unfolded like a perfectly imperfect romance novel. Rain or shine, these two were living their best lives, and you couldn't help but root for them.
So, here's to Christy and Jason, the dynamic duo who proved that even on the rainiest of days, love always finds a way. Grab your rain boots and let's dive into this oh-so-heartwarming journey of their wedding day in Phoenixville, PA.
The morning kicked off with hair and makeup for Christy and her bridesmaids at their house. Tribe Hair and NavyRae Artistry had everyone looking gorgeous, including the most adorable, sweet, and silly flower girl ever.
Meanwhile, the gents opted to get ready at the Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia Valley Forge/Collegeville, where we also setup a room block for all of the couple’s out-of-town guests.
From there, it was off to the church for the ceremony.
Now, the night before at the rehearsal, I asked Christy how she was doing. She said, “the only thing I’m nervous about is being emotional.” Oh, sweet girl. I told her that emotions are 100% fine, but she still made sure to get a quick lesson from the makeup artist in the morning on how to “dab the tears”.
Turns out, she wasn’t the only one having all the feels. 🥹🥹🥹
After the ceremony, we were off to the heart of Phoenixville for photos with the couple and their wedding party. This included taking a short walk (well, drive, because RAIN) over to the Colonial Theater where it’s famous marquee literally had the couple’s name up in LIGHTS.
After that, it was time to focus on the eats, drinks, sweets, and dance moves.
J. Scott Catering, the in-house caterer at Phoenixville Foundry, did an INCREDIBLE job with dinner service. And The Master’s Baker brought in some super-tasty treats to compliment the couple’s wedding cake, lovingly made by the bride’s uncle.
Of course, DJ Michael Kane kept the dance floor full all night long. And they opened with what is now one of my new favorite songs for a wedding: “Ultimate”, by Lindsay Lohan (You can thank me later)
As the evening wrapped up, the rain clouds decided to give us a break, just in time for some s'mores by the fire pits. Who said rain ruins everything? Certainly not this crew.
Christy and Jason, you have no idea how inspiring your joy for life and love for another is. Watching you ride the wave and enjoy the view from “the top of your mountain” brought (happy) tears to my eyes. Thank you for getting the gang back together.
