Alli and Jake’s Whimsical and Fun Bok Wedding

I am LONG overdue in sharing this AMAZING Bok wedding with you here on the blog. But this was wedding was so fun and so full of inspiration, that there was no way I was going to skip it.

Alli and Jake were one of those couples who lead their decisions with intention and the utmost care for their guests’ experience. There were many things that they opted to do “outside the box” and in forging their own path, they truly created a one-of-a-kind event for their guests to enjoy.

It was also one of those practically PERFECT September days where the sky is blue and the temps are warm but comfortable.

Luckily, Alli and Jake assembled a dream team of wedding pros to bring it all together. As their coordinator, it was an honor working with Love Me Do Photography (who captured these brilliant photos), plus the teams at Bok, DiBruno Bros Catering, and Allaire Rentals to name just some of the key players.

Hair and makeup, by Marissa Grace Artistry and Jazmin Rae and Co., took place on the 4th floor of Bok.

(Since this wedding, Bok now has an INCREDIBLE suite on the 2nd floor which overlooks the gymnasium, for getting ready. It’s really spacious and works well for hair, makeup, and getting dressed. Another room, right next door but separate, is also available for additional getting ready space.)

First Looks and portraits with the couple and their VIPs took place on the 7th Floor terrace. While it can be a little windy up on the 7th and 8th floors, it’s still such a great and private spot for photos.

Bok also has a ton of areas available for Couple portraits, like this beautiful and historic auditorium.

While Bok has some options for where your ceremony can take place, Alli and Jake picked the 8th Floor Rooftop as the perfect spot to hold their ceremony and cocktail hour.

They used Bok’s mismatched chairs to create an intimate seating arrangement that overlooks the whole Philly skyline. And DiBruno Bros. had the drinks flowing and appetizers roaming for an extended cocktail hour.

When it came to the decor in the reception, it was anything but boring or traditional. Alli and Jake worked closely with Liz from Allaire Rentals to create a fun, cohesive, and whimsical vibe throughout the entire gymnasium — including a custom bar front. And these Terrazzo linens from Nuage were somehow the PERFECT fit.
