Why I Don’t Offer Day-Of Coordination (and Why You Deserve So Much More)

When you first start planning your wedding, “day-of coordination” might seem like a perfect solution. It promises someone to take over logistics and run the show on your wedding day, without needing to commit to full-scale planning. And for some planners, that model works beautifully. They thrive in that fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and it’s a good fit for some couples.

But here’s the thing: I’ve found that jumping in at the last minute isn’t the most effective way to ease stress or make the day as smooth as possible for the couples I work with.

And that’s okay — everyone’s process is different. For me, I’ve seen time and again that coming in toward the end of the planning process can actually create more stress for the couple. I’m all about helping you feel calm, prepared, and supported, and that’s tough to achieve when I’m only looped in during the final stretch.

Day-Of Coordination Adds More Stress Than It Solves

Oooh, I said it. Hear me out:

By the time you reach the final few weeks of planning, you’re already dealing with a whirlwind of tasks, decisions, and last-minute questions. Bringing in a day-of coordinator at this point can often feel like you’re trying to cram MONTHS of planning and conversations into a few weeks, which usually means more meetings, more questions, and more stress for you.

While my goal is always to make things easier, I’ve found that stepping in late can add unnecessary pressure rather than relieving it. After all, you deserve to enjoy the last few weeks of being engaged — not spend them re-explaining every detail to someone who’s brand new to your plans.

I Believe in Supporting You From the Start

Instead of just jumping in at the last minute, I work best when I’m there to support you from the moment we agree to work together. That’s why I offer Signature Coordination — a service designed to guide you through the entire planning process, without taking control or overwhelming you with decisions.

Think of me as your coach throughout the process. You’re still in the driver’s seat, but I’m right there beside you, helping you navigate every decision, offering guidance on what to consider, and making sure no detail slips through the cracks. By being involved from the start, I can keep the process smooth and organized, so by the time your wedding day arrives, we’re ready for anything. No last-minute scrambling or stress — just a seamless day you can actually enjoy.

You Deserve to Enjoy the Weeks Leading Up to Your Wedding

The final weeks before your wedding should be about excitement, not exhaustion. When I’m part of your planning journey from the beginning, we can work together to make sure every detail is locked in ahead of time, so you’re not bogged down by last-minute questions or missing pieces. Instead, you can focus on soaking up the moments that really matter — without feeling overwhelmed by a ton of outstanding logistics that you didn’t know you even needed to consider.

A Well-Coordinated Team Makes All the Difference

Weddings aren’t just about one person (or one couple) — they’re a team effort. And when I’m brought in early, I’m able to build strong relationships with your vendors, understand what their role is, and ensure that everyone is working together seamlessly. That’s key to a wedding day that runs smoothly.

With Signature Coordination, I’m able to do that essential prep work ahead of time, so when the big day arrives, everything flows naturally, and you’re free to focus on enjoying your celebration, not managing it.

Earning Your Trust — So You Can Be Fully Present

One of the most important aspects of my work is earning your trust. By the time your wedding day arrives, I want you to feel completely confident that I’ve got every little detail covered — even more than you might remember yourself.

That’s a big part of why I believe in being involved early in the planning process; it gives us time to build that trust, so when the big day comes, you’re able to fully immerse yourself in the experience, rather than worrying about logistics.

This is your day to be present — to feel the love, joy, and excitement as you start this new chapter in your lives together. I want you to be fully in the moment, in your body and your mind, soaking up every second without a single worry about what’s happening behind the scenes.

That peace of mind is what makes the entire journey, from planning to the wedding day, as enjoyable as possible. And for me, that’s the ultimate goal — helping you experience your wedding day without a hint of worry, knowing everything is in expert hands.

Why You Deserve More Than a Last-Minute Fix

Ultimately, I believe your wedding deserves more than just a last-minute fix. You deserve to feel supported from start to finish, with a planner who understands your vision and helps bring it to life without unnecessary stress.

If you’re looking for a partner in the process, someone who will coach you through the decisions and keep everything organized, let’s chat.

I’m here to help you create a wedding that’s not just beautiful but completely you — from the moment we start planning to the final dance on your big day.
